Mason Oak named a 2024 USA Lacrosse All-American

SPARKS, MD – Quinnipiac junior goalkeeper Mason Oak has been recognized as a USA Lacrosse NCAA Division I All-American, as revealed by the organization on Thursday, May 9, 2024.

Oak was awarded Honorable Mention status for being recognized as one of the top individual performers of the 2024 men’s lacrosse season.

All-Americans were chosen by USA Lacrosse Magazine staff and contributors with input from coaches and conferences across the country. A total of 41 Division I schools are represented.

Oak, the 2024 MAAC Defensive Player of the Year, ranks second nationwide in saves per game (15.43) and fourth in save percentage (58.7%). The junior goalkeeper made a total of 216 saves and allowed just 152 goals through 14 games. He made 22 saves against Sacred Heart on April 10 – the fifth-most saves in a D1 game this year. He scored nine games with more than fifteen saves this season.

Oak helped the Bobcats finish the 2024 season with a 9-5 mark. QU won its first seven games to start the season. Oak hosted a Quinnipiac program that posted its most wins (9) since 2019.
