JC Higginbotham receives All-American honorable mention by USA Lacrosse

SPARKS, Md. – Bellarmine goalkeeper J.C. Higginbotham was among those who received an honorable mention from American lacrosse today as the publication unveiled the 2024 NCAA Division I Men’s All-Americans, highlighting the top individual performers of the 2024 season.

All-Americans were chosen by USA Lacrosse Magazine staff and contributors with input from coaches and conferences across the country.

Higginbotham started the first 13 games of the Knights’ 2024 campaign before suffering a season-ending injury in the first half against Robert Morris on April 10. As of Monday, he is second in Division I with his save percentage of .590, 11th with a 9.74 average. goals against and 14th with an average of 12.85 saves per match.

On March 2 against Marist, he passed 12-year pro Dillon Ward (2010–13, 576 saves) for the program’s all-time lead in saves. He also overtook Ward as Bellarmine’s all-time goaltender wins leader on Feb. 11 at St. Bonaventure and finished his collegiate career with 666 career saves and 25 career wins.
