Queensbury lacrosse players continue to climb the record books

GLENS FALLS – Kady Duffy found the back of the net five times Wednesday to lead the Queensbury girls lacrosse team to an 18-4 Foothills Council win over Glens Falls.

The Spartans, 7-0 in league, 13-0 overall, are ranked eighth in the state in this week’s Class C poll.

Duffy moved into a tie for 16th with 2023 graduate Kendra Ballard on the Queensbury all-time scoring list at 109.

Seniors Kaitlyn Barton and Kendal Kelsey each had a hat trick with two assists for the Spartans. Barton moved to ninth on Queensbury’s career assists chart (82).

Lilly Trowbridge added two goals and Bayley Duffy made four saves for the Spartans, who won their 114th straight Foothills Council game.

Piper Eddy led the Black Bears with two goals and Brooke Eggleston and Mary Giblin added one each. Zoe Zachar finished with eight stops in goal.

GREENWICH 17, JOHNSTOWN 5: The Witches jumped out to an 11-1 halftime lead and never looked back en route to a victory in Foothills.

Molly Abate scored a game-high five goals and Lizzie Marci added four for Greenwich, which also got a hat trick from McKenna Lyndaker. Goaltender Reese Hunt finished with five saves.
