Falcons release 2024 schedule

FLOWERY BRANCH, Ga. – Without further ado, the official 2024 Atlanta Falcons schedule has arrived, featuring a home season opener, four primetime games and six of the eight new head coaches in the NFL.

Week 1 kicks off on September 8 at Mercedes-Benz Stadium with the Pittsburgh Steelers in town. Former Falcons head coach Arthur Smith will be on the opposing sideline as the Steelers’ offensive coordinator while his replacement, Raheem Morris, takes over for Atlanta and makes his league debut.

The Falcons next travel for their first prime-time appearance on September 16, a Monday Night Football slot with the Philadelphia Eagles in Week 2.

What follows that late show is three consecutive home games in weeks 3-5. The Falcons will host the Kansas City Chiefs for the first time on Sunday Night Football on September 22. Next up, the New Orleans Saints arrive on September 29, before the Tampa Bay Buccaneers make a quick turnaround for Thursday Night Football on October 3.

That brings the Falcons into Week 6, which includes their second road trip and division three game. Atlanta will play the Carolina Panthers on October 13. Like the Falcons, the Panthers have a new head coach in Dave Canales.

The game against Carolina marks the first of four away games for the Falcons until their bye in Week 12. They are at home in Week 7 on October 20 against the Seattle Seahawks, who also have a new head coach in Mike Macdonald, and on November 3 in week 7. Week 9 for the Dallas Cowboys. The Falcons will then be away on October 27 for a Week 8 rematch with the Buccaneers in Tampa Bay and on November 10 for a Week 10 rematch with the Saints in New Orleans. Atlanta is away one more time – to take on the Denver Broncos on November 17 in Week 11 – before reaching their Week 12 bye.
