ANN ARBOR, Mich. – Women, girls and those who identify as non-binary can watch the AFC Ann Arbor women’s team play its first match of the season for free on Sunday.

The match kicks off at 3pm and will celebrate women and girls in sports, with a pregame performance from DJ Mynt and an amputee football show at halftime.

Participants can see community role models such as Jenna Trubiano, head coach of the University of Michigan women’s ice hockey team, Emily Eitzman, founder of the UM Amputee Soccer Camp, and environmental activist Izzy Sutton.

There’s a chance to win tickets to NWSL Game at Wrigley Field in Chicago, grab a bite to eat at food trucks or let kids play in a designated and expanded play area.

The game will be played against Kalamazoo FC outside Pioneer High School at 601 W. Stadium Blvd.

The event is organized in collaboration with Girls on the runan organization that encourages girls to find their inner confidence through physical activity programs.
