SOCIALS SAY: Powerful messages from Oilers’ 3-2 win over Canucks in Game 4

The Edmonton Oilers called on backup goaltender Calvin Pickard to avoid certain disaster with his first NHL playoff start in net en route to a hard-fought 3-2 victory at Rogers Place on Tuesday.

Combined with another game winner in the final moments of the third period by Evan Bouchard, the Oilers tied the series 2-2 heading back to Vancouver for Game 5 on Thursday (8 p.m., Sportsnet, CBC).

All Oilers fans know there is another, dark side to the Bouchard coin. Maybe that’s why they allow themselves to celebrate the good times he so often offends?
