Vote in Varsity 845’s softball player poll for weeks May 6-12

Online voting for the Varsity 845 Softball Player of the Week for May 6-12 is now open. Go to RecordOnline.com/sport and vote as many times as you like until 11pm on Sunday (no computer bot votes please).

Nominations are drawn from reports to Varsity 845 and other sources. Players from Orange, Ulster and Sullivan counties, plus Delaware Valley (Pa.) are eligible. Only one nomination per week is allowed per school. This week the survey has been split into large and small schools.

Varsity 845 Softball Player of the Week candidates (major)

Isabella Dubose, Washingtonville

She allowed seven hits and struck out seven as the Wizards defeated 5-1 on Monday.

Bethany French, Middletown

He threw a three-hitter and struck out six as the Bears defeated Pine Bush 3-1 on Monday. On Wednesday, she hit four in a two-hit shutout against Newburgh, 13-0.

Jess Gumble, Saugerties

She had three hits in the Sawyers’ 8-1 victory over Wallkill on Monday.

Alana Hayes, Cornwall

She had a double, two singles and two RBI and the Dragons fell 13-6 to Warwick on Monday.

Emma McCaffrey, Minisink Valley

She had a home run and four RBI as the Warriors defeated Monticello 19-0 on Tuesday.

Montalvo Abbey, Port Jervis

She struck out 10 batters in her victory, a 7-0 decision over Beacon on Wednesday.

Rylee Moore, Warwick

She had a single, double and four RBI as the Wildcats defeated Cornwall 13-6 on Monday night

Ella Nathe, New Paltz

She hit a two-run inside-the-park homer for the Huguenots in an 8-5 win over Beacon on Monday.

Avery Ogden, Pine Bush

She struck out six and allowed seven hits in the Bushmen’s 6-5 win over Kingston on Tuesday.

Valerie Pedersen, Monroe-Woodbury

She had one hit, two RBI, allowed just two hits and struck out 12 as the Crusaders defeated Kingston 11-0 on Monday.

Sarah White, Wallkill

She had two singles and a two-run double as the Panthers defeated Highland 11-2 on Thursday.

She had two doubles, a single and three RBI as the Blue Devils defeated Webutuck 11-5 on Tuesday.
