IG orders to improve the investigation system

LAHORE:IG Punjab directed to improve the examination system with hard work and dedication.

He said FIRs against property crimes should be registered immediately and negligence will not be tolerated. He directed to provide social security to homeless children, women, transgenders and disabled persons through the Tahaffuz Markaz community policing initiative. He gave several instructions while addressing the officers during the crime rally of Gujranwala and Rawalpindi regions at the Central Police Station on Wednesday.

RPO Rawalpindi and RPO Gujranwala, concerned CPOs, DPOs participated in the meeting through video link. IG assessed the overall performance of both regions in law and order and the fight against crime. He directed to make effective use of the Investigation Support Unit to solve the cases of heinous crimes and further improve services to citizens under the 1787 Complaint Management System with effective follow-up.

Promoted officers honored

IG Punjab Dr. Usman Anwar honored the officers who were promoted to the rank of DSPs at a ceremony held at the Central Police Station on Wednesday. He personally raised the ranks of DSPs to 26 police officers and congratulated them. The families, children and relatives of the promoted officers participated in the ceremony.

Meanwhile, IG Punjab distributed certificates and cash rewards among officers for their excellent performance at a ceremony held at the Punjab Safe Cities Authority (PSCA) on Wednesday. Recipients included officials from the Operations and Control Center, Electronic Data Analysts, representatives from the Emergency Center and other departments.

ICC security team calls on IG Punjab

A high-level security delegation of the International Cricket Council (ICC) met IG Punjab at the Central Police Station on Wednesday. The delegation led by Safety and Security Manager ICC David Muskar included Colonel Azam Khan of ICC, Colonel Khalid Mehmood and Usman Wahla of PCB. The ICC delegation was briefed about the security arrangements for the upcoming international cricket matches in Punjab.

Safety and Security Officer ICC David Muskar appreciated the foolproof security measures taken by the Punjab Police for international cricket events across the province, including Lahore.
