Orlando Pirates star attracts interest from Britain!

Orlando Pirates Players continue to attract interest from Europe and another of their stars is being followed!

This is not the first time that Pirates’ Relebohile Mofokeng is the subject of interest from abroad.

Earlier in the season, Pirates announced that Mofokeng had traveled English Premier League side Wolverhampton Wanderers for reviews. He then returned to South Africa, saying he had left a good impression in the English Midlands. This was the first formal bit of foreign interest in a player who was also thought to have impressed the Spanish La Liga sides. However, there is no word yet on whether the troublesome winger will return to England for a re-assessment or to sign a deal.

Rangers interested in Mofokeng?

He has seen his game grow by leaps and bounds after cementing his place in the Pirates lineup. He has since been set to return to Britain, this time with Scottish giants Glasgow Rangers thought he was interested in Mofokeng.

According to Glasgow times Rangers are one of the few clubs that follow Mofokeng. The publication further describes the Pirates star as a ‘South African prodigy’

“Reports from Scouts present claim Rangers are among a number of European teams interested in Orlando Pirates winger Relebohile Mofokeng. They report that the Ibrox club are keeping an eye on the emerging 19-year-old talent. He has already attracted the attention of clubs in England. He had a trial spell at Premier League side Wolves before also being given the chance to impress at Reading.” the publication wrote.

Mofokeng has been in sensational form for Pirates of late. He has earned the right to be one of the first names in coach Jose Riveiro’s starting lineup. The 19-year-old has contributed 10 goals in 34 appearances in all competitions so far as Rangers lurk.

Could he leave Pirates with a good feeling?

If he has to leave Pirates next season, Mofokeng hopes to do so after winning the title Nedbank cup last. They will compete against national champions Mamelodi sunsets on June 1 in Mbombela.
