“Wrapping Up”: Daniel Bryan’s Shocking WWE Return Details Provided Amid MJF, Ricky Starks and Mercedes Mone’s Rumored Departure

On April 21, Bryan Danielson had one of the best matches of his career against Will Ospreay at the AEW Dynasty pay-per-view. In addition to suffering a loss, Danielson found himself in a terrible position at the end of the match. The British star landed a Storm Diver 91, which dropped Bryan directly in the neck. This could have caused an injury in an area that has caused many complications for Danielson throughout his career.

As a result of this situation, Danielson stayed away from All Elite Wrestling’s weekly programming. According to Excalibur, Bryan Danielson does not have permission from AEW to travel with the company. This is due to the possible injury sustained at Dynasty. We now know that he will be part of AEW’s Double or Nothing. However, the thought of this being his last run as a wrestler has certainly crossed the minds of the wrestling faithful. All because of his constant neck problems. So before he hangs up his boots, can we see him in the WWE? Well, maybe we’ll see him in the promotion at Stamford!

During the latest edition of the Fightful Wrestling podcast, Sean Ross Sapp gave an important update on Bryan Danielson. A listener of the podcast asked Sapp if Danielson would renew his contract with AEW once it expires. And while Sapp revealed the timeline of when Danielson’s contract expires, he also said it’s not 100% certain if the American Dragon will renew his contract. Sapp said: “So the original contract was going to be around All In. But I do believe he needs to do some work with them next. As far as I know now, there is also a lot of injury time there. I don’t know what that will mean, I know he plans to complete his full time in the ring this year. I’ve never heard of him being interested in returning to WWE. He seems very happy in AEW, but you never know what someone’s motivations might be.”

In addition to the 42-year-old, MJF, Ricky Starks and Mercedes Mone are also mentioned in the list of AEW talents who may be leaving the promotion. If Danielson decides not to re-sign with AEW, it could mean we get to see his final run in the WWE instead. And what a comeback that would be, considering the WWE is at a creative peak. But before that, the American Dragon must overcome one more hurdle when he comes face to face with the Elite.

Since their return to All Elite Wrestling programming, The Young Bucks decided to exercise their roles as executive vice presidents in an authoritarian manner. They recruited Kazuchika Okada and Jack Perry into their ranks, then injured Tony Khan and deteriorated Kenny Omega’s health. This led to the announcement of an ‘Anarchy in the Arena Match’ for Double or Nothing on AEW Dynamite tonight.

Kenny Omega has announced that due to the recent actions of The Elite, The Young Bucks, Kazuchika Okada and Jack Perry will face FTR and two unconfirmed members in an ‘Anarchy in the Arena Match’ at Double or Nothing. Before the show ended, Dax Harwood and Cash Wheeler appeared to introduce Eddie Kingston and Bryan Danielson as their teammates, then started a physical confrontation between everyone to end the segment. Last year this match took place at the same pay-per-view, where Blackpool Combat Club defeated The Elite. So will Danielson emerge victorious again? Let us know in the comments.
