Nebraska blows final non-conference game to South Dakota State in final inning

Nebraska baseball was two outs away from closing out the final non-conference game of the year with a win.

But then all hell broke loose. South Dakota State scored five runs in the top of the ninth inning and took the win 10-6.

The loss drops the Huskers to 30-17 on the year. The Jackrabbits improve to 18-25.

A week after throwing a no-hitter, Jackson Brockett threw just 3.0 innings, giving up one earned run on two hits. Nine other Husker pitchers saw time, including three in the final frame.

NU recorded 12 hits in the game, led by a 3-for-5 effort by Rhett Stokes.

Nebraska stays at home this weekend to host Indiana for a three-game series.
