In a repeat of their spectacular semi-final comeback win over Manchester City two years ago, they saw their opponents take the lead after Bayern substitute Alphonso Davies fired a stunning goal from a counter-attack in the 68th minute.

But Joselu climbed off the bench to equalize after Manuel Neuer’s disastrous mistake in the 88th minute and two minutes later he fired a second into Bayern’s goal from Antonio Rüdiger’s cross.

The effort was first disallowed for apparent offside, but the goal was awarded after a VAR check.

“We’ve seen it many times this season, when it seemed like we were dead and buried. It doesn’t matter who scores the goals, but someone always gets it… that never-say-die mentality.” Jude Bellingham, who plays in the will play the final against his old club, says TNT Sports.

Davies opened the scoring in spectacular fashion, hitting back his right foot and curling an unstoppable shot into the far corner.

But Madrid, who had dominated the match, piled on the pressure as Vinícius Júnior tormented the visitors down the left.

The Brazilian forward slid effortlessly past Matthijs de Ligt and Joshua Kimmich to create a number of chances for himself and his teammates, which were denied several times by an inspired Neuer.

The Bayern keeper looked on course to be man of the match as he weathered a storm, but with minutes remaining he fumbled Vinicius’ strike from the edge of the penalty area to give Joselu the equalizer.

The goal revived a raucous Bernabéu under their spectacular new roof and two minutes later Madrid worked their European magic again and grabbed a deserved winner, putting the Spanish giants back into the final.
