Christopher Thompson, also known as Click, is a rodeo photographer originally from Hayes and has clicked his way to Professional Rodeo Cowboys Association Photographer of the Year for the second year in a row.

“The PRCA is the largest rodeo sanctioning body in the world,” Thompson said. “It’s pretty much the biggest and oldest, so there’s the most prestige, and it’s pretty awesome to be the person they vote for. We hand out many buckles each year, but there is only one buckle each year that is named PRCA Photographer of the Year.

“I have a friend who says that in a hundred years there will only be a hundred photographers of the year. It’s pretty awesome to have done that twice now,” he mused. “I think it shows the work even from the first days of doing SEBRA (Southern Extreme Bull Riding Association) Bull Riding until today.”
