Husker volleyball player’s DUI hearing postponed | KLIN

A court hearing for Nebraska volleyball player Harper Murray on a drunken driving charge has been rescheduled for June 22. Murray’s lawyer went before a judge on Tuesday to ask for a delay. Lincoln Police say officers observed an Audi SUV traveling eastbound on Vine Street between 16th and Antelope Valley Parkway around 12:45 a.m. on April 5, violating several traffic laws.

Officers stopped the vehicle and investigation revealed that 19-year-old Murray was suspected of driving under the influence. LPD says her BAC registered at 0.169, more than twice the legal limit.

Police say Murray also had a fake ID and failed to comply with directives from several officers during the investigation. Murray was initially cited for first-offense DUI, careless driving and three other violations.

Murray was suspended for last Saturday’s spring game at Kearney.
