UFC Rumors: Colby Covington Reveals Surprising Opponent After Calling Out for Conor McGregor’s UFC 303 By Ian Garry

Colby Covington has recently been in the news after Ian Garry showed his desire to fight him at UFC 303. Despite several calls from the talented Irish fighter, ‘Chaos’ has yet to respond. The former interim welterweight champion was last seen in the Octagon at UFC 296 when he took on Leon Edwards for the title. ‘Chaos’ lost the fight via decision and could not match the skills of ‘Rocky’. Since then, the 36-year-old has yet to make a return to the Octagon. Amid all the chaos and calls from Ian Garry, Covington gave insight into his future in the UFC in his recent conversation. Covington said: “I love this company with all my heart. They made me a multi-millionaire. So thankful and appreciative of what they did. So I let them decide.”

While speaking to host Maxx Crosby, the former champion also made it clear that the Ian Garry fight is just speculation. He has yet to receive any official confirmation from the UFC regarding his rumored fight. However, he did reveal his next opponent. The 35-year-old said: “I don’t know. Maybe you know this guy Belal Muhammad, who’s been talking a lot. He’s at the top of the rankings above me. So if I can beat that guy, I’ll get another title fight right away. So I don’t know. I can fighting anyone. I don’t have specific names, but everyone, anytime, anywhere, the best fighters the sport has ever produced.

Although the battle has yet to be decided, Covington isn’t exactly afraid of the undefeated Irish. In a recent interview with Tucker Carlson, ‘Chaos’ shared a message for the 26-year-old.

Covington will try to settle his differences with Ian Garry once and for all

The rivalry between Ian Garry and Colby Covington began shortly after his fight at UFC 298. After convincingly defeating Geoff Neal, the 26-year-old declared the former interim champion. He even claimed that he had to retire from the sport after beating him.

The comments did not go down well with the Clovis resident and, as he usually does, he made some comments about Garry’s wife. Since then, the pair have been embroiled in many social media wars, with the Irish desperately trying to get the attention of ‘Chaos’.

Now it appears the undefeated young prodigy has finally caught Covington’s attention. In a recent interview with Tucker Carlson, the 36-year-old shared his thoughts on the recent calls. He said, “I think he just wants to settle the differences in the Octagon I like to fight in the Octagon, so if it has to happen one day, I would be honored to arrange it.”
